Production Engineering Supervisor Job

• Manage and ensure the performance of facility equipment and processes, including the operation of electro-mechanical equipment, robotic equipment, and related automated production systems;
• Manage maintenance staff responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance work, repair of electro-mechanical and robotic equipment, and operation of all equipment and robotic processes for the facility;
• Distribute production schedules and work orders to maintenance staff to support timely equipment maintenance, repair, and production operations;
• Troubleshoot production systems using programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensors, and related automated control technologies;
• Design, configure, and apply robotic systems and modify computer-controlled robot movements for automated production processes;
• Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs and restore proper operation of automated equipment;
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment, robotic systems, and related automated production systems;
• Maintain service records of robotic equipment, automated production systems, maintenance activities, and repair work performed at the facility;
• Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing spreadsheets, to determine personnel or materials requirements and priorities;
• Confer with department management to determine the progress of work and completion dates and discuss needed changes;
• Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications;
• Monitor inventories of production supplies, including sensors, cables, robotic components, and related maintenance materials;
• Fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures using metalworking machines and test the performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment;
• Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, personnel schedules, maintenance or repair orders, labor hours, costs, production problems, and safe work activities in a fast-paced work environment.

- Associate’s degree in Engineering or other closely related field of study
- Over five (5) years of experience in the field of production and manufacturing equipment maintenance;
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in manufacturing, specialized in auto body parts, preferred;
- Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing press machines, including SIMPAC and AP&T equipment, preferred;
- Ability to troubleshoot robotic equipment and automated production systems, including Yaskawa and KUKA robotic systems, preferred;
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment, robotic systems, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensors, and automated production processes; and
- Skills in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, robotic systems, press machines, and related automated manufacturing systems.
