Production Engineering Manager Job

A Production Engineering Manager is needed in Montgomery, Alabama.

• Oversee the production engineering and maintenance process of production systems in manufacturing automotive door systems and modules.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and support consistent production flow.
• Manage and coordinate equipment repairs, routine inspections, and system diagnostics across production lines.
• Develop and monitor production engineering and maintenance budgets, inventory levels of spare parts, and procurement of critical tools and supplies to ensure timely response to equipment needs.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and continuous improvement strategies.
• Support installation and commissioning of new production machinery, ensuring proper setup, testing, and training to achieve stable and reliable operations.
• Analyze maintenance data and system performance metrics to drive decision-making for system upgrades, replacements, or process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental regulations related to machine operations and facility maintenance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that maintenance efforts align with production goals, engineering standards, and quality control requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 2 years of managerial experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
