Production Engineer Job

A Production Engineer is needed in Auburn, Alabama

• Evaluate and enhance mechanical production processes by conducting thorough research and rigorous testing on all components used in the manufacturing of automotive parts.
• Analyze design proposals, technical specifications, and operational manuals to assess the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of mechanical systems for manufacturing automotive components such as front axles, rear axles, rear carriers, half-shafts, and cross groove joints.
• Interpret and apply mechanical engineering specifications and proposed designs to select high-quality and cost-effective mechanical machinery and equipment for production.
• Ensure compliance with both government and industry standards by maintaining a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in the production environment.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes to test the mechanical aspects of products, ensuring adherence to both client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Calculate and analyze engineering costs to support other departments in crafting bid proposals for securing customer orders or procuring mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with other engineers and team members to implement quality control measures, aiming to eliminate defects and irregularities in the operation of mechanical equipment.
• Document test results and make necessary adjustments to mechanical designs to refine engineering solutions and enhance product quality.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field of study.
