Production Coordinator Job

The Doorland Group is an industry leader in the creation and manufacturing of custom-engineered stile and rail doors, routered MDF doors, wood mouldings, and jambs, including fire-rated products rated up to 90 minutes. With over 45 years of experience, Doorland has contributed to prominent residential and commercial projects around the world, combining specialized craftsmanship, technical expertise, and high-quality custom manufacturing.

At this time, we are looking for a hardworking and reliable Production Coordinator to join our team and assist the company in bringing its operational processes to new heights.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily operational logistics for the production of custom-engineered stile and rail doors, routered MDF doors, wood mouldings, jambs, and related wood products, ensuring that work orders are processed in accordance with production priorities, material availability, and delivery timelines.
• Organize production tasks and coordinate activities between production, warehouse, inventory, purchasing, finishing, and other internal work units to ensure the smooth flow of materials, components, and completed products through each stage of the manufacturing process.
• Consult with production supervisors and management to schedule production runs in a cost- and time-efficient manner, taking into consideration labour availability, equipment capacity, material requirements, client specifications, and required completion dates.
• Monitor production progress on active work orders, follow up on delays, material shortages, workflow issues, or order changes, and communicate updates to the appropriate departments to support timely completion of projects.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit production schedules, progress reports, work records, material usage summaries, inventory records, and other operational logs using computerized and manual systems for management review.
• Organize and maintain inventory records for wood materials, veneers, hardware, mouldings, jamb components, and other supplies required for production, and coordinate with warehouse and purchasing personnel to address shortages, discrepancies, or replenishment needs.
• Resolve work-related coordination problems, provide technical and operational input regarding production workflow, and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, material flow, and overall efficiency within the manufacturing process.
• Train workers in applicable duties, work procedures, internal policies, production documentation requirements, and workflow processes, and arrange additional training for staff where required to support consistent and efficient operations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of secondary school
• At least 1 year of experience as a Production Coordinator, or similar role
• High proficiency in English
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION & CONDITIONS:

• Permanent, full-time position
• 30-hour work week
• $36.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
• Extended health and dental benefits
