Role Summary: Reporting to the Director of Logistics, the Production and Inventory Planning Manager’s responsibilities include managing the inventory and weekly production schedules and outputs in cooperation with other key production and planning managers.
Duties:
• Developing and executing the Daily Production schedule in cooperation with the weekly production planning manager and production
• Managing inventory of raw materials and packaging items in cooperation with the procurement manager and inventory clerk. Reconciling any discrepancies between actual and plan
• Liaising with the production planning manager to execute a plan to maintain Finished Goods inventory among various warehouse locations as per forecast
• Executing Transfer orders for inventory movement in cooperation with the export team, order input clerk and production planning manager
• Performing receipt of raw material in Just Foods with corrected cost & submitting documents to Finance for further processing with guidance from sales directors on negotiated costing and margins
• Performing bleaching, deodorizing and other tank movements in ERP to replicate live manufacturing system with floor
• Verifying total packaged inventory and generating output for finished goods in the system based on the production records in cooperation with reported outputs from production and shipping with key responsibility on consumption levels
• Creating special blends to complete the Tanker sale and performing consumption of finished goods in the system
• Resolving errors in the ERP system’s Sales, Shipping, Finance and Export modules
• Supporting the implementation of a new ERP system along with the ERP team as a super user of the current ERP system
• Generating KPI Reports on a Weekly and Daily basis for top management (consumed and produced)
• Verifying inventory count monthly, creating inventory reports and submitting to finance for smooth closing in cooperation with procurement and inventory clerk data
• Calculating yields, performance in the ERP system and submitting rendering reports to management
• Analyzing critical factors related to production in relation to the sphere of control in association with the Production Planning Manager
• Supervising, planning, assigning and reviewing the work of workers engaged in maintaining inventories of materials and coordinating production work
• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participating in their improvement
• Taking part in resolving problems and related complaints and implementing corrective measures and process improvements
• Ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arranging for maintenance and repair work
• May conduct performance reviews of supervised workers

• 5+ years of experience as a production planner is required
• Completion of a post-secondary education program in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing management or a related field is required
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
• Ability to lead and manage reporting, cross functional teams, and associates
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office and related databases
• Role may require working outside in cold weather
