Product Metallurgist Job

Providing process development and technical expertise to optimize Cold Rolling Mill operations, ensuring peak manufacturing efficiency for high-quality steel sheets. This role focuses on refining processes to meet customer-specific requirements, delivering exceptional, high-end steel products with precision and reliability.

Responsibilities:
Optimize Cold Rolling Mill operations through process development and technical support.
Train and mentor the rolling mill team on technical best practices.
Extract and analyze data using SQL and statistical methods to enhance product quality and KPIs.
Assess and mitigate safety risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Troubleshoot quality and performance issues with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Monitor and optimize rolling process conditions using data acquisition software.
Improve yield, reduce scrap, and implement process improvements.
Support metallurgical analysis to meet customer and product requirements.
Define process control limits and implement automated deviation detection.
Lead product development trials and implement new processing techniques.
Collaborate with Sales and customers on quality-related concerns.
Design and implement equipment modifications for enhanced operations.

Experience in metallurgical engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of cold rolling processes and steel manufacturing.
Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and statistical tools.
Ability to conduct safety assessments and implement process improvements.
Strong communication and training skills for technical staff development.
Experience with equipment monitoring and data acquisition software.
