Position Overview
CanNorth College of Health, Business and Technology is a Canadian post-secondary institution. The Product Manager – Marketing is responsible for the strategic planning, positioning, and promotion of CanNorth College’s online education product, including micro-credentials, mini certificates, and short-term professional programs typically lasting 3 to 6 months, in international markets, with a primary focus on Mainland China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. This role bridges product development, market research, and marketing execution, ensuring that programs are market-ready, competitive, and aligned with regional regulatory, cultural, and consumer expectations.

Due to the nature of international education partnerships and overseas recruitment channels, international travel is required to support market development, partner engagement, and on-the-ground marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
The Product Manager – Marketing will perform the following duties:
• Plan, develop, and manage the lifecycle of online distance education products, including micro-credentials and certificate programs, while developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies for international student recruitment and program promotion in international markets
• Adapt academic products and marketing strategies to align with regional market expectations, cultural considerations, and regulatory environments.
• Prepare written materials such as product briefs, marketing plans, program descriptions, website content, and promotional materials.
• Coordinate and evaluate digital marketing campaigns, education fairs, recruitment events, and promotional activities.
• Act as a liaison between the College and overseas education agents, institutional partners, and marketing service providers.
• Respond to inquiries from international partners and stakeholders regarding program offerings and collaboration opportunities.
• Represent CanNorth College at international education events, recruitment activities, and partner meetings.
• Monitor and evaluate marketing performance, enrollment outcomes, and market feedback.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to improve product competitiveness and market penetration.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, product management, or business development involving online or digital products
• Experience in education, training, digital products, or service-based industries is required
• Experience working with international markets or cross-border marketing is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, product positioning, and market research
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong client focus and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across time zones
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis
International Travel Requirement
This position requires 25% to 45% international travel, including but not limited to:
• Attending education fairs, recruitment events, and marketing activities overseas
• Meeting with education agents, institutional partners, and service providers
• Conducting market research and partner evaluations on site
Travel destinations primarily include Mainland China, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
