Job Description:
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES:
•Assess and determine the most effective medium to achieve the desired visual impact and select appropriate channels for communication.
•Building and maintaining all our brands’ product templates. Keeping the design team informed of the status of new product templates and being proactive with getting information from Product Development.
•Collaborate with team to define the clients desired look, graphic elements, and content for communication materials, ensuring alignment with their objectives.
•Creating construction documents for new products with close collaboration with Product Development.
•Create graphic elements that precisely fulfill clients' objectives, employing traditional tools, multimedia software, and image processing.
•Specking design collections, including making Pantone selections and conversions, finalizing all product information and technical details, posting final assortments to Monday.com.
•Pantone selections for contract design collections, conversions of all Pantone colours across collections.
•Generate sketches, layouts, and graphic elements for subjects, utilizing a blend of traditional tools and cutting-edge design software.
•Uploading all artwork specs into our PLM system and communicating with Product Development when artwork is ready to go to suppliers.
•Utilize existing photo and illustration resources, typography guides, or enlist illustrators and photographers to craft images meeting clients' communication needs.
•Maintaining a digital and physical library of resources for designers, i.e. swatches, constructions, templates, and Key Accounts embellishments.
•Participating in team meetings such as Trend Research and Line Reviews.
•Photographing and cataloging Key Account samples for designers, sending photos, and reviewing samples with teams.
•Some minor design work, including revisions and updates to contract designer collections. Assisting in-house design team with sample revisions.
•Thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, fostering effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams.
•Assisting team as needed, including preparing seasonal documents and presentations, and other tasks as necessary.

Job Requirements:
• 1-2 years related industry work experience in textile or fashion background
• Completion of post-secondary education in Design with a related diploma, degree, or certificate
•Strong MS office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and related platforms)
• Adapt existing illustrations
• Consult with team to determine the clients nature and content of illustrations
•Assist with developing storyboards and trend research
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac Platforms
•Must be willing to work in-office as the position will deal with physical samples.
•Assist and support Design team and Supervisor with all aspects of design creation
•Understanding of textile/hard good production processes and limitations is an asset.
•Experience working with a team of creatives
•Experience using a PLM system is an asset
•Excellent written and verbal English skills
•Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize, operate proactively and work well independently and with a team
•Observant and dependable
•Detail oriented, organized, and a flexible self-starter
• Completion of post-secondary education in Design with a related diploma, degree, or certificate
