Job Description:
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities of our company. Your main objective will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the entire procurement process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and requirements.
- Source, select, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery capabilities, and overall performance.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to maximize value for the company.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time delivery, and resolve any delivery or quality issues that may arise.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, managing supplier performance, and conducting regular supplier evaluations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments to identify potential cost savings or improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the finance department, to ensure proper budgeting, cost control, and adherence to procurement policies.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, products, and technologies that may benefit the company.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Continuously analyze and optimize the procurement process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
