Job Description:
Family located in Westhampton Beach, NY is seeking a Weekend, Live Out, Private Chef to work in their home.
Days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
*Must have schedule flexibility to work additional days, late evenings (for dinner parties), and holidays
The private chef is responsible for planning and creating the daily menu, grocery list, ordering and receiving groceries and/or shopping for meal ingredients, maintaining proper food inventory, and organizing all items in the refrigerator/pantry.
Prepare all meals for the family (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, light in-between meal snacks) and visiting family members or guests as needed, and other household staff (ex. Handyman, Driver).
Must be able to plan a varied menu (ex. meals for toddlers and children), design menus for special events or occasions, and prepare meals based on the family’s specifications, preferences, and/or dietary needs. Must be able to balance between creating innovative, culinary dishes as well as traditional favorite meals.
Additional responsibilities include assistance with dressing the dining table and cleaning and organizing the kitchen during and after meal preparation and serving.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Live In or Live Out Private Chef.
Minimum 3 years’ culinary experience
Experience working with a high net-worth, private family.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Ability to cook and serve family style as needed
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to last-minute changes
Must be able to take constructive feedback
Must be able to follow the family’s instruction
Discretion in all confidential matters
Minimum of 3 references
Background check required
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum 3 years’ culinary experience
