Responsibilities
Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
Assist clients in social activities and engage them in conversation to promote mental well-being.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Help with mobility and physical tasks, ensuring safety during transfers and movements.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties as needed.
Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately.
Skills
Strong patient monitoring skills to observe and report on clients' health status effectively.
Experience in direct support roles, particularly with individuals with autism or dementia care.
Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response procedures.
Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
Compassionate caregiving skills that foster trust and comfort among clients.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
