PRESCHOOL/K DIRECTOR Job

Overview
Christ Church is seeking a Spiritually mature disciple called to lead a Christian preschool (includes kindergarten) to provide children with a strong general and Christian education. The ideal candidate will have experience and specialized training with planning, resourcing, and directing day-to-day operations of a Christian school, as well as with teaching, teacher recruitment, personnel leadership and supervision, and resourcing.
Responsibilities
• Plan, resource, and direct daily operations of Greentree Christian School and related ministries
• Provide Christ-centered leadership to 30-member staff
• Recruit, lead, and supervise qualified personnel
• Maintain Christ-centered, loving and safe environments for children and families
• Provide Biblical instruction and classroom support
• Oversee administrative operations including budgets and registration
• Engage as an active member of Christ Church
• Adhere to all church and school policies
Qualifications
• Strong spiritual maturity and clear testimony of faith
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a Christian school
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development (or related)
• Theological depth and ministry calling
• Ability to lead in a diverse, multi-cultural community
• Excellent communicator across platforms
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed

1. Spiritual Maturity – The ideal candidate will be a person with a clear testimony of faith in Christ and a commitment to a lifestyle that demonstrates Christlikeness.
2. Experience – The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of successful vocational leadership experience in a Christian school, including supervising, recruiting, resourcing, and planning. Other vocational church and leadership experience will be considered.
3. Calling – The ideal candidate will articulate a sense of call to Christian education, evangelism, and discipleship. This candidate’s life will demonstrate a love for relating with children and adults and connecting them to Christ.
4. Education – The ideal candidate will have a at least a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development. Other educational or vocational training may be considered.
5. Theological Depth – The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to think theologically and apply foundational theological ideas to life and ministry.
6. Christ Church Compatibility – The ideal candidate will be adept in connecting the historic orthodox faith with the lives and struggles of Northern Virginia children and families in an engaging, inviting way.
7. Leadership – The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to recruit and develop leaders, both students and adults.
8. Diversity - The ideal candidate will be adept in building relationships with students and parents from multi-cultural backgrounds.
9. Communication – The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate well in multiple media (Oral, written, and through technology / social media).
10. Ministry Requirements – The ideal candidate will choose a missional lifestyle allowing work on some evenings, weekends, and holidays engaged in children’s and families lives.
