is in need of Poultry Farm Worker
NOC Code: 85100
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure birds have access to food and water.
2. Walk through the house to identify sick or injured birds.
3. Utilize proper biosecurity standards when entering and exiting houses.
4. Assist with egg collection, washing and sorting.
5. Control temperature of houses for ultimate bird comfort.
6. Conduct maintenance on the house and watering, heating, feeding and ventilation system as needed.
7. Control house lighting to meet bird needs.
8. Maintain high standards of animal welfare.
9. Report daily egg production.
10. Perform other related duties as required.
Employment Requirements:
1. Education: No specific education requirement.
2. Work Experience: Previous poultry farm experience would be an asset but not required; On-the-job training will be provided.
Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 48 hours/week; working hours may vary depending on stage of production; 1 varied day off per week
Wage/Benefits: $19.54/hour / 5 days paid sick leave
Work Location/s: various barn locations in Ontario, Canada (Everett, Alliston, Stayner)
