Job Description:
JB Chick-Sorting Ltd. is located at 30911 Osprey Dr. E. Abbotsford, BC V2T 5P8. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Poultry Farm Manager. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Poultry Farm Manager
Wage: CAD$35.00
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Manage the overall poultry farms’/hatcheries’ chick/turkey sorting operations;
• Hire and manage chick/turkey sorting staff
• Evaluate work performance at poultry farms/hatcheries
• Evaluate quality control and sorting records
• Communicate with poultry farms’/hatcheries’ managements regarding contracts and sorting related matters
• Establish a marketing program
• Develop and keep financial records
• Purchase and maintain necessary equipment and supplies
• Collect data and use digital technology tools and equipment to enhance operations
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• 2-3 years of poultry farming experience obtained as a poultry farm/chick sorting supervisor required.
• A university degree or college diploma in agricultural management or other field related to poultry production an asset.
