is in need of Pork Production Technician
NOC: 84120
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full Time - Permanent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Engaged in all day-to-day operation within the specific area of the swine production unit assigned (i.e. breeding, farrowing, weaning, nursery, finishing).
2. Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems.
3. Maintain swine performance records.
4. Manure handling and storage.
5. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns.
6. Perform other related duties as required such as general maintenance of the facilities.
WORKING HOURS: Shift work between 4:00 AM - 11:00 PM, working hours may vary depending on stage of production, 1-2days off depending on week's operation
WAGE: $18.72/hour - Note: Wage is subject to potential increase depending on performance; Employees are entitled to paid vacation leave calculated at 4% of their gross salary, commencing after two years of continuous employment.

1. Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Work Experience: At least 1 year experience in handling swine is required.
WORK LOCATION: various locations in Ontario – Ridgetown, Blenheim, Highgate, and Thamesville
