Plumbing Estimator Job

The Plumbing Estimator has estimating and business development responsibilities. This position is responsible for any and all tasks necessary to put together a complete project estimate. This position manages projects from bid monitoring and preparation through project budgeting. This position will be responsible for projects of varying sizes and complexities including assigned projects. This position takes full responsibility for project estimation to ensure a successful bid and budgeting for the project managers and the company.

Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent industry or trade experience
5+ years of project estimating experience in the construction industry to include project estimating of medium to large scale commercial construction projects
Technical knowledge and understanding of plumbing systems and codes
Good technical skills in the design and construction of plumbing systems for commercial buildings
Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, estimating, scheduling, safety)
Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in budgeting awarded projects
