ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Install and repair plumbing systems, water supply, and drainage systems
Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes
Join pipes using soldering, brazing, welding, cement, clamps, screws, and bolts
Locate and mark pipe positions in walls and floors
Cut openings for pipe and fitting installation
Test systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
Determine pipe sizing and system requirements
Prepare cost estimates, tenders, and material lists
Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
Operate CADD and other computer software
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Commercial and residential sites
Confined spaces
Wet/damp environments
Physically demanding
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Handling heavy loads
Working under pressure
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Secondary (high) school diploma
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Valid driver's licence
Strong verbal and written communication
Team player
Accurate and client-focused
Good hand-eye coordination
