Job Description
Scott Alan Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is looking for an experienced Plumber to join our team in Kelowna, BC. The successful candidate will perform plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair work on residential and commercial properties.
Job Duties
• Install, repair, and maintain domestic and commercial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Install pipes and fittings using appropriate tools and joining methods.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, faucets, showers, and related equipment.
• Test pipes and plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable building codes and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant plumbing experience.
Language: English.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Physically capable of performing the duties associated with the position.
