Job Description:
MDSCOMP (1842205 Ontario Ltd.) is a reliable and affordable plastering and painting company for residential & commercial projects. We specialize in drywall finishing, skim coating, interior/exterior painting, and renovations. Quality workmanship, clean finishes, and free estimates.
We are looking to hire one plasterer who will be performing the following tasks:
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Candidate must have at least 2 years of work experience on the same position.
