Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at our chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, compliance, and productivity while leading a team of professionals. The role requires strong leadership, process optimization, and regulatory compliance expertise in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Management
Oversee day-to-day plant operations to ensure smooth production processes.
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
Monitor and optimize production schedules, equipment utilization, and workforce allocation.
Ensure quality control standards are met in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory safety standards.
Implement and maintain safety protocols, hazard prevention programs, and emergency response plans.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
Conduct performance reviews, training programs, and workforce development initiatives.
Process Improvement & Cost Control
Identify and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity.
Monitor and manage plant budgets, cost controls, and operational expenses.
Oversee maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
Regulatory & Environmental Compliance
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
Work with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of chemical processes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning, and performance metrics.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or safety compliance programs.
Experience with automation and digital transformation in manufacturing.
