Physiotherapy Aide Job

Spinal Touch Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Aide to support licensed physiotherapists in providing care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. The successful candidate will help maintain a professional and therapeutic environment for patient rehabilitation and recovery. Under supervision of registered physiotherapists and chiropractors, the Physiotherapy Aide assists with delivering therapeutic programs integral to patient rehabilitation, comfort, and overall wellness

Responsibilities

Tasks

1.Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities
2.Examine the patient
3.Clean and maintain therapy areas and equipment to clinic hygiene standards.
4.Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices
5.Plan physiotherapy programs
6.Document patient rehabilitation progress
7.Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments
8.Advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition
9.Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs
10.Order supplies and maintain inventory
11.Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
12.Develop and implement treatment programs
13.Collect demographic information from a patient
14.Prepare treatment rooms and equipment (e.g., electrotherapy units, traction tables, hot/cold packs, exercise tools, orthotics).
15.Reinforce patient education on postural alignment, prescribed exercises, wellness strategies, and equipment use.
16.Occasionally assist with orthotic fittings (e.g., measuring, warm-ups) and support acupuncturist/chiro during sessions.
