Pharmacy Supply Assistant Job

We are looking to hire a dedicated Pharmacy Supply Assistant to join our growing team. Major job
responsibilities include:

~ Receiving and processing prescriptions, including data entry and verifying information.

~ Processing payments, handling insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

~ Keeping the pharmacy clean and organized, including cleaning equipment and work areas.

~ Adhering to pharmacy laws and regulations, including privacy and confidentiality requirements.

~ Supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.

~ Providing customer service, including answering inquiries and processing transactions.

~ Entering prescription and patient information into computer systems.

~ Labeling and packaging medications for distribution.

~ Assist pharmacist in coordinating call backs.

~ Manage incoming faxes according to pharmacy standards of practice.

~ Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.

~ Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual third party accounts

~ Receive new and repeat prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures

~ Maintain and control the cash registry in the dispensary.

~ Ensure customers requiring counselling are referred to the pharmacist

~ Data entry for new prescriptions and managing refill request processing

SALARY

~ Full-time role at 40 hrs/week
~ $20/hr

EDUCATION

~ Education in the field of health sciences, pharmacy or anything related would be preferred but not mandatory
