Brown’s Pharmacy is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our outstanding pharmacy team. Operating within Brown’s Guardian Pharmacy, the pharmacy department prepares and dispenses a wide array of prescription items while acting as first contact for most customer interactions. *Please note that this position requires participation in our on-call rotation as well as working some Saturdays.*

Monday to Friday 9am-6pm;
Saturday 9am-5pm
Sunday closed - on-call only

Job Requirements:
The ideal applicant will possess:
Proven ability to communicate effectively with the team, customers, and medical personnel; oral and written
Experience working in Pharmacy setting and/or using Kroll software, an asset
A strong attention to details and time management skills
Demonstrated computer and technology skills, an asset
Experience working in environments with multiple demands and the ability to multi-task
The ability to work well with others and thrive in a team-oriented workplace
Require at least 1 year of sterile compounding experience
General duties of the position:
Delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive interaction with all customers
Inputting new and reordered prescriptions, counting and dispensing filled prescriptions, and signing out picked up prescriptions
Answering phone and in-person inquires; directing to correct department or pharmacist, when needed
Following procedures and protocols for cleaning and producing IV medications in our sterile room, extensive training provided
Participate in on-call rotation: one weeknight from 6pm-9pm, and rotating weekends, once trained
Assist team with other tasks and duties as required
The successful applicant will be required to submit a current Criminal Record Check within 3 months of start, at their expense.
