Pharmacy Assistant Job

Shoppers Drug Mart is one of Canada's leading retail pharmacy chains, known for offering a wide range of health, beauty, and convenience products. This Shoppers Drug Mart franchise store is located at 50 Dufferin St, Perth, Ontario, K7H 3A6. At this time, we are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing business.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate
• Help pharmacists
• Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
• Maintain prescription records
• Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine
• Prepare medications for clients
• Set up and dismantle equipment
• Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Help with scheduling and workflow
• Bill third party insurers
• Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
• Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
• Maintain supplies
• Maintain inventory of equipment
• Organize and maintain inventory

Position Requirements:

Education- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience- 1 year to less than 2 years
Excellent oral communication and Excellent written communication
Ability to excel working in a highly fast-paced environment; work under pressure, Physically demanding
Excellent English language skills

Terms & Conditions:

Permanent, full-time employment - 35 hours per week
Compensation: $25 per hour, Paid Biweekly
Store location: 50 Dufferin St, Perth, Ontario, K7H 3A6.
