Shoppers Drug Mart is one of Canada’ leading retail pharmacy chains, dedicated to providing
exceptional healthcare and customer service in communities across the country. We are currently
seeking two licensed Pharmacists to join our team, offering professional support, medication
expertise, and compassionate care to our valued customers.

Position Title: Pharmacist
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 2
Wage: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on working experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week (including weekends and evenings)
Benefits: Vacation Pay at 4% of total wages or 10 days paid vacation
Responsibility:
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriate dosage;
• Prepare compounded medications by calculating, measuring, and blending required drug
ingredients, and dispensing them into suitable containers with precise quantities;
• Dispense prescribed medications to patients or healthcare providers, offering guidance onuses,
contraindications, potential side effects, interactions, and correct dosages;
• Maintain detailed medication records for clients, including logs for controlled substances and
poisons;
• Oversee the proper handling, labeling, distribution, and storage of vaccines, biologics, serums, and
other pharmaceutical products;
• Manage inventory levels by ordering and replenishing pharmaceutical supplies as needed;
• Provide recommendations to customers regarding the selection and appropriate use of over-thecounter medications;
• Renew prescriptions within defined regulatory limits and professional scope;
• Modify medication formulations, dosage regimens, treatment durations, or methods of administration when authorized;
• Perform duties as directed by management, ensuring alignment with store policies, operational goals, and customer service standards.

Qualification:
• A university degree in pharmacy and a period of supervised practical training are required
• Licensed and in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to work quickly, multi-task and work well under pressure
• A high level of professionalism
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Working knowledge of English.
