Job Description:
Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner for multiple hospital units.
Perform chemotherapy preparation (chemo prep) in alignment with USP standards and facility protocols.
Review and monitor patient medication therapies, evaluate dosing, interactions, and contraindications, and provide pharmacokinetic and therapeutic recommendations.
Float across multiple areas: Critical Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Medicine, and Cardiac units as operationally required.
Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team, and educate patients on safe and effective medication use.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory, safety, and institutional policies.

Job Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent) – required.
License: Active New York State Pharmacist license (0–2 years’ experience acceptable).
Clinical skills:
Strong pharmacology and clinical dosing knowledge, including medication safety principles.
Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy preparation (mandatory).
Ability to work across high-acuity specialties: critical care, oncology, pediatrics, transplant, cardiac, and general medicine.
Soft skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital pharmacy setting.
License: Active New York State Pharmacist license (0–2 years’ experience acceptable).
