Pharmacist Job

Pharmacist is needed to perform the following duties :

• Serves patients by receiving and filling prescriptions, giving information related to medications to the patient, and monitoring patient drug therapies.
• Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Dispenses medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring correctness and legality. Consult prescribers as needed.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects and interactions, addressing their concerns and questions.
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration and handle controlled substances.
• Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Educate patients on adherence, potential risks, and lifestyle modifications for better treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapy, monitor safety and adjust dosages as required.
• Partner with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care and participate in team meetings.
• Stay updated on pharmaceutical knowledge, new drugs, and evidence-based practices through ongoing education and apply this knowledge to provide optimal care.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Keep accurate patient records, documenting interactions, interventions, and recommendations promptly.

Bachelor’s degree is required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Pharmaceutics and state pharmacist license.
