Job Description:
Bathe and shampoo animals
Pet clipping and styling: Full coat styling including clipping, hand-scissoring, hand-stripping, etc.
Ear cleaning
Nail clipping
Teeth cleaning
Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures, including work area and tools
Keep records of animals treated
Lift/carry dogs into bathing tub and onto grooming table
Provide customer service

-Education: Completion of High School is required.
-Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience working with dogs and cats is required. If the candidate does not have the experience, training courses in animal handling, grooming or dog training is required.
-Valid Grooming certification is a strong asset.
-Knowledge of breed standards cuts is an asset.
-Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment
-Personal Suitability: Client focus, Judgement, Team Player, Organized
-Work site environment: Pet grooming shop, Pet shop
-Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs and cats.
-Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
-Language: Basic English is required.
Salary: From $19.00 per hour, 30-40 hours per week.
Benefits: Gratuities. Transportations costs are covered by the employer if the worker needs to relocate.
Important information:
Flexibility in schedule is required. The candidate will work 5 days a week, including weekends, from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm.
