Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care Job

-Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
-Assist residents with feeding and hydration and support with menu selection as required
-Monitor residents’ overall well-being and report changes in physical or emotional condition to supervising staff
-Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as directed
-Document care provided and maintain accurate resident records
-Support residents with light exercise routines and recreational and social activities within the home
-Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
-Assist with safe transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper lifting techniques
-Maintain residents’ rooms in a clean, safe, and organized condition
-Follow all infection prevention, health, and safety protocols

-Completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate program, -Nursing Aide, Health Care Aide, or equivalent healthcare training from a recognized institution is required.
-Minimum 1 year of experience providing personal care to seniors in a retirement home, long-term care, or healthcare setting is required.
-Valid CPR and First Aid certification is required.
-Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
-Availability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts as required
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
-Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine commitment to senior care
