Personal Support Worker for a Senior with medical needs Job

I am seeking a kind and caring caregiver to provide care at my residence in Etobicoke, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the elderly and persons with medical needs, be kind-hearted and reliable.

You will be responsible for:

- Attending for a senior with medical needs and providing constant companionship
- Assisting with bedside and personal care such as personal hygiene
- Delivering mobility assistance such as walking and regular exercising
- Preparing dietary meals and assisting with feeding process
- Carrying out basic health-related tasks such as assisting with medication and prescription usage
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as making the bed, washing dishes after meals, and laundry

Requirements:

- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a Caregiver/PSW
- Completion of Secondary School
- Completion of a training program (e.g. Caregiver) is an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
- High attentiveness and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic including accountability, punctuality and good judgement
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends
- Good command of English

Compensation and Conditions:

- $21.00 per hour based on 30-hour work week
- Permanent, full-time position
- Location of work: Etobicoke, ON, M9A 4Y1
