Personal Support Worker for a Senior with high medical needs

I am seeking a kind and caring caregiver to provide care at my residence in Etobicoke, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the elderly and persons with high medical needs, be kind-hearted and reliable.

You will be responsible for:

- Attending for a senior with high medical needs and providing constant companionship
- Assisting with bedside and personal care such as personal hygiene,
- bathing, dressing
- Delivering mobility assistance such as walking and regular exercising
- Preparing dietary meals and assisting with the feeding process
- Carrying out basic health-related tasks such as dressing changes and assisting with medication and prescription usage
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as making the bed, washing dishes after meals, and laundry

Requirements:

- Experience as a caregiver or in a related field is an asset
- Completion of Secondary School
- Completion of a training program (e.g. Caregiver) is an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
- High attentiveness and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic including accountability, punctuality and good judgement
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends
- Good command of English

Compensation and Conditions:

- $20.00 per hour based on 30-hour work week
- Permanent, full-time position
- Location of work: Etobicoke, ON, M9A 4Y1
