Job Description:
As a dedicated Personal Support Specialist (PSS) in Maine, your primary responsibilities will involve providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need. This includes assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitoring and administering medications, as well as maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients, are integral aspects of the role. Additionally, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the well-being and independence of your clients.

1. Prefer a High school diploma or equivalent.
2. PSS Certificate or able to get a PSS Certificate within 9 months and start the class within 2 months of being hired.
3. Prefer one (1) year of experience in the care of clients.
4. Shows an interest and concern for people, good judgment and tact in dealing with the sick.
5. Practices good hygiene and is neat in personal appearance.
6. Speaks, reads, and writes and can communicate effectively in English.
7. Current CPR certification preferred.
8. Must have a comprehensive background check (including criminal check).
