Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian to join a patient-centered care team. In this vital role, you will provide clinical nutrition support and counseling to patients while serving as a resource for medical staff and caregivers. Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized medical nutrition therapy for patients across a variety of clinical conditions
Educate patients, families, and staff on diet, nutrition, and food choices to promote health
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and patient progress
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings
Comply with hospital protocols and infection control procedures
Skills and Abilities
Proficient in using computers, PowerPoint, calculators, and office equipment
Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
Physically able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; must demonstrate proper body mechanics
Demonstrated visual, auditory, and motor coordination required to perform assessments and patient interactions
Able to manage time effectively, maintain attendance, and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching
Potential exposure to bodily fluids – standard precautions must be followed
Requires critical thinking, rapid response time, and adaptability in patient care situations

Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution
Completion of an approved Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or qualifying Master’s with relevant experience
Registered Dietitian or registration-eligible (must obtain RD status within 1 year of hire)
Oregon Dietitian License
Valid Driver’s License (or obtain within 30 days)
Food Handler/Manager or ServSafe Certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE)
Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist (CSO)
Certified Nutrition Support Specialist (CNSC)
Preferred: Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical or community nutrition
Must be licensed to practice in Oregon
Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution
