Primary Compensation Type: Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) Fee-for-service (approximately $142.31 per hour gross, subject to patient volumes)

About Us
The Vaughan Pediatric Clinic, located in Woodbridge Ontario, provides a full range of pediatric care, including both primary care and consultation. Our physicians are pediatric specialists certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons or are Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. We have affiliations with local hospitals as well as the Hospital for Sick Children.
Our facility provides a wide range of services including X ray, Ultrasound, Physiotherapy Laboratory and Pharmacy services. We also strive to be at the forefront of medical technology: Your child's medical history is maintained using an electronic medical record. Our clinic also maintains internet connections to labs, X ray facilities , local hospitals and the Hospital for Sick Children, which allows for patient information to be accessed quickly.
We are a diverse team of 7 pediatricians, and we provide primary and consulting care to a large and multicultural community in the Northwest GTA. We have ability to accommodate full-time applicants and would be happy to meet with doctors who have an interest in our practice, for more information, please see: www.vaughanpeds.ca
Duties:
• Diagnose, treat, and help prevent children's diseases and injuries
• Diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders
• Prescribing medications and treatment
• Treating diseases and physiological disorders
• Acting as consultants to other physicians
• Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements:
• Completion of Doctor of Medicine degree is required
• Eligible for independent practice in Ontario as per the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario (CPSO)
• Completion of Royal College exam for Pediatrics (or equivalent) is required
• Residency training in Pediatrics is required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
