PCA Job

Our client is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and bilingual (Spanish & English) Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to clients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety. This role requires strong communication skills in both Spanish and English to effectively interact with diverse clients and their families.

Responsibilities:

Bathing Assistance – Provide physical support and supervision during bathing to ensure hygiene and safety.
Eating Assistance – Assist clients with eating and meal setup, encouraging proper nutrition and hydration.
Dressing Assistance – Help clients with dressing and grooming while respecting their privacy and preferences.
Transferring Assistance – Safely assist with transfers from bed to wheelchair, chair, or other areas as needed.
Communication – Communicate clearly in both English and Spanish with clients, family members, and team members.
Safety Monitoring – Supervise clients to prevent falls or injury, and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Documentation – Accurately document care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant observations.
Requirements:

Current PCA or CNA certification (as required by state regulations)
Bilingual – fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required, depending on employer)
Ability to lift, move, or assist clients safely
Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for the elderly and/or individuals with disabilities
High school diploma or GED preferred
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a home care, assisted living, or nursing home setting
Familiarity with basic medical terminology and care documentation
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 56 per week
