2322819 Ontario Inc. O/A Right Service Right Choice has immediate opening for a Payroll administrators (TEER 3: 13102) at our location in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Payroll administrators (TEER 3: 13102), you will perform some or all the following duties:
• Maintained employee payroll records by reviewing timesheets, attendance records, leave requests, statutory holiday pay, and overtime information prior to payroll processing.
• Processed bi-weekly payroll for drivers and office staff, ensuring employees were compensated accurately and within established payroll schedules.
• Calculated and verified employee earnings, including regular wages, mileage-based compensation, layover pay, detention pay, safety bonuses, extra pick-up and drop-off payments, and other approved payroll items.
• Reviewed payroll information for accuracy and ensured all deductions, including income tax, CPP, EI, group benefits, and other authorized deductions, were applied correctly.
• Updated and maintained employee payroll profiles, including new hires, terminations, wage adjustments, banking information, and benefit-related changes.
• Prepared and processed Records of Employment (ROEs), T4 slips, year-end payroll summaries, and other payroll documentation required for regulatory compliance.
• Assisted in the administration of employee benefit programs by maintaining payroll-related records and processing applicable benefit deductions and adjustments.
• Addressed payroll inquiries from employees regarding earnings, deductions, vacation pay, benefits, and payroll calculations.
• Reconciled payroll registers with payroll reports and supporting records, investigated discrepancies, and made necessary corrections before payroll finalization.
• Generated payroll reports, earnings summaries, and payroll-related statistics for management review and internal record-keeping purposes.
• Maintained confidentiality of employee payroll information and ensured payroll activities complied with company policies and applicable payroll legislation.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of college or other courses in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll administration or experience in payroll administration OR experience in related field is required.
• Having experience using a payroll system or software is preferable.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: CAD$36.00 /Hour
