Job Description:
LA FORET ROYAL OAK BAKERY CORP in Burnaby, BC is looking for a Pastry Chef to work with our team.
Title: Pastry Chef
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Salary: CAD 37.00 – CAD 39.00 per hour, At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation, extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment
Location: 6958 Palm ave, Burnaby, British Columbia, V5J 4M3
Requirements:
• Graduation of secondary school is required.
• 3-5 years in a supervisory role, with experience as a pastry chef and cake decorating.
Main Duties:
• Execute the production of specialized pastry and savory items.
• Design elegant culinary displays and decorative arrangements.
• Guide the kitchen team in mastering advanced cooking techniques and food presentation styles.
• Develop original recipes to enhance the menu with fresh and innovative flavors.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and provide professional leadership to all culinary staff.
• Manage menu planning and coordinate the procurement of necessary food supplies.
