Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Parts Procurement Officer to support procurement, inventory management, and operational supply chain activities for aviation ground support equipment operations based in the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport area.
The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance personnel, airport operations teams, and approved vendors to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of specialized parts and components required to support aviation equipment maintenance and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and procure parts, components, and consumables for aviation ground support equipment, including baggage tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, ground power units, air start units, and related airport service equipment
• Coordinate procurement activities with maintenance and operational teams to support equipment servicing and minimize operational downtime
• Review technical parts requests and identify appropriate suppliers, products, and sourcing solutions
• Establish and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and aviation-related vendors
• Obtain quotations, evaluate pricing, negotiate lead times, and coordinate purchasing activities
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with procurement planning and forecasting
• Track order status, coordinate deliveries, and follow up on delayed or outstanding shipments
• Ensure purchased parts meet applicable operational, quality, and safety standards
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing documentation, and inventory reports
• Support procurement activities associated with airport-side maintenance operations conducted within restricted operational environments
Qualifications:
• College diploma or certificate in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, inventory coordination, supply chain operations, parts sourcing, or purchasing
• Experience within aviation, fleet maintenance, industrial equipment, heavy equipment, transportation, or related operational environments is strongly preferred
• Experience using ERP systems, inventory control software, procurement platforms, or purchasing management systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and vendor management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport restricted area access clearance
