About the role:

CUMULUS MEDIA INDIANAPOLIS is in search of a hard-working paid intern. If you are looking to get your foot in the door in the media industry, have an outgoing personality and a passion for music, this is a great opportunity for you! With this internship, you will gain experience across all aspects of a media company including Programming, Promotions, Engineering and Sales. Audio is at our core, but we also specialize in events, giving back to the Community, creating digital content, engaging with our fans & listeners and much more! Cumulus Media | Indianapolis features six radio stations (Country WFMS-FM, Classic Hits WJJK-FM, Active Rock WNDX-FM, Hot AC WNTR-FM, Sports WXNT-AM and CHR WZPL-FM) reaching well over a million listeners weekly. What you'll be doing:

• Assist in planning, organizing & execution of promotional events and digital campaigns


• Execute proper technical and physical set-up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly


• Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing, and friendly manner


• Data Entry of Promotional events and contesting


• Work with and in the revenue generation department to gain a complete understanding of the sales process


• Connect with listeners on the phone, our social media platforms, online and in person


• Daily social media engagement; website and digital content generation


• Participate in station Programming, Promotions, and Sales meetings and events when necessary


• Assist the Engineering Department with tasks & projects as needed

What you'll bring to the table:

• Currently enrolled in a communication and/or media field that requires an internship


• Socially informed and perceptive; up-to-date and in tune daily with the local and national trends


• Demonstrated upbeat personality, great customer service, strong mindset, and positive attitude


• Excellent verbal and written communication and a desire to assist others in all aspects of the business


• Demonstrated creativity and imagination


• Can work well in a team environment, enjoys collaborating
