Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as an Estate Sale Assistant and play a vital role in orchestrating seamless estate sales that delight clients and maximize value. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Estate Sale Assistant to join our team on a part-time, intermittent basis. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible, part-time work and has an interest in the estate sale industry.

As an Estate Sale Assistant, you will support our team with various aspects of the estate sale process, including set-up, customer service, and post-sale tasks. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly adapt to the demands of each sale. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sale Organization: Assist in sorting and organizing items for estate sales, ensuring that all merchandise is neatly displayed and easy to browse.

Set-Up & Clean-Up: Help with setting up the estate sale site, ensuring it’s ready for customers and assisting with post-sale clean-up, ensuring the location is left in good condition.

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers during sales, answering questions about items and sales policies. Ensure a positive shopping experience for all attendees.

Inventory Management: Keep track of items during the sale, helping with inventory control and providing assistance with keeping the sale organized and efficient.

Occasional Cash Handling: Assist with cash register duties, processing sales, and handling payments (cash, credit cards, etc.), ensuring accurate transactions.

Strong Communication & Friendly Demeanor: Maintain clear and friendly communication with clients, customers and team members. Providing excellent customer service to create a positive shopping experience.

Fast-Paced Work Environment: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities within a short time span.

Ensure Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure all safety protocols are followed during sale activities, including handling items safely and ensuring the environment is clean and organized. Maintain a safe and tidy space for both customers and team members throughout the event.

Other Tasks: Perform any other tasks as needed to support the team and ensure the smooth operation of the sale.
Qualifications:

Experience:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality or estate sales is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to lift and move items of various sizes and weights.
Ability to work efficiently and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.

Availability:
Must be available on an as-needed basis, including mornings and weekends.

Transportation:
Reliable transportation to travel to estate sale locations.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items of various sizes and weights, and perform manual tasks (such as setting up displays and moving items).
