Parkdale Early Childhood Centre is seeking a F/T Early Childhood Educator Job

Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $31.00~$34.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 1095 Tolmie Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 2H4

Job Duties:

• Develop child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Maintain daycare equipment and an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Provide opportunities for children to express creativity through creative and diverse activities
• Observe children’s behavioural problems or progress and prepare reports for parents or supervisor
• Assist children in establishing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s development and difficulties

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
