is in need of PAINTER
NOC Code: 94213
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
As a Painter at our Lloydminster, AB facility you will be responsible for internal and external coating, insulating and painting storage tanks, vessels, skids and piping
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
2. Operate and service all equipment associated with coating and painting
3. Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies, procedures
4. Attend daily production meetings, report status of jobs in progress
5. Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all painting/coating requirements are met
6. Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
7. Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
8. Prepare and/or apply industrial primer, paint, and/or industrial coatings (protective and decorative) to all parts of finished products and/or equipment
9. Operate brush or spray equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all consumables, paints and painting supplies
10. Perform other related duties as required
Working Hours: 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; shift will vary between days and nights from Monday to Friday; 2 days off on Saturday and Sunday
Wage/Benefits: $32.85/hour; Extended Medical, Dental and Disability Insurance
Work Locations: 6614 50 Avenue, Lloydminster, AB, Canada T9V 2W8
Employment Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience is required
• Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating
• Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
• Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
• WHIMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space Training is considered and asset but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Use of hand tools
• Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment
