Position Description

Position: Painter
Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $27.00 per hour
Overtime and Vacation Pay
Stable & full-time employment
Work-life balance through flexible and accommodating work environment
Financial Relocation: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching holes, repairing drywall, and applying primers and sealers.
• Measure, cut, and apply paint, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking tape, and protective coverings.
• Mix and thin paint to achieve the desired colour and texture consistency.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms as required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and client specifications are met.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and comply with company and provincial safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding project progress.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field OR completion of a relevant apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and finishing materials.
• Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
