Wage: $25.00/hour for 35 to 40 hours per week

Job Duties:

• Assisting the painter and preparing surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, and priming walls, ceilings, and other structures.
• Removing old paint, wallpaper, or other coverings from surfaces.
• Filling holes, cracks, or imperfections with filler and smoothing the surface.
• Assisting in mixing paint, stains, and other coatings to the right consistency.
• Measuring and mixing paint and other materials, following specific instructions from the painter.
• Setting up and maintaining equipment, such as brushes, rollers, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Loading and unloading materials, tools, and supplies from vehicles.
• Cleaning brushes, rollers, and other tools after use.
• Keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Removing and disposing of painting waste and other materials.

• Some Secondary School Education will be an asset.
• No experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Must be physically fit to handle job-related tasks
• Must be willing to work at heights
• Must be flexible and willing to work weekends or overtime, as needed.
