Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and friendly Paddock Manager to join our team at Carolina Motorsports Park. This individual will play a key role in the operations of the facility by providing exceptional service to racers, crew members, event staff and all other guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with people and being outdoors, is good with conflict management, and is dependable. They will also be a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a smooth, organized, and welcoming facility while adhering to the company’s policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide concierge-style service to racers, guests, and event staff ensuring all needs are met with professionalism.
Greet racers and teams upon arrival, assisting with parking and setup in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
Monitor RV sites and garages ensuring all occupants have paid the required fees. Politely enforce payment collection for any unpaid sites, coordinating with the front gate as needed.
Address unauthorized parking and ensure compliance with facility policies in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
Proactively identify and resolve any issues within the paddock, minimizing disruption to event operations and maximizing guest satisfaction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paddock area, ensuring compliance with all event guidelines and safety standards.
Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers, teams, sponsors, and event staff, fostering a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating arrival and drop-off times for equipment, haulers, racers, and teams.
Demonstrate knowledge of various vehicle makes, models, and haulers, allowing for meaningful engagement with participants and the ability to identify unique needs.
Serve as a resource for participants, offering helpful information about the track, event schedule, and other facility amenities.
Monitor and ensure that all equipment and infrastructure are functioning properly throughout the event, addressing any issues promptly.
Respond to paddock-related issues quickly and efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and smooth event flow.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to enforce rules professionally and respectfully while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Strong conflict resolution skills, capable of handling difficult conversations calmly, with a customer-friendly approach.
Point-of-sale and basic cash handling experience; must be comfortable processing payments and managing transactions efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to remain calm and composed in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Passion for motorsports environment with the ability to engage easily with racers, teams and participants sharing enthusiasm for the sport.
Prior customer service experience, preferably in an event setting.
Ability to recognize and identify various makes and models of vehicles, haulers, and racing equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse group of people in a professional and helpful manner.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and composed in fast-paced environments.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with a flexible, adaptable mindset.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support event schedules.
