Oyster Farmer Job

To assist with our growing business, we are looking for a Permanent Full-time Oyster Farmer.

We offer:
C$36.75/hr (30-40hrs/wk) with 4% paid vacation.
Work location: 6184 McGirr, Nanaimo, British Columbia, V9V 1R8

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of work experience in related fields.

Responsibilities:
- Assistance to maintain the operation of the business.
- Selection and maintenance of shellfish (oysters) cultivation.
- Preparation of the site for cultivation (Flupsy – Floating Upweller System).
- Collect and record growth and production data of oysters.
- Monitor and maintain optimum conditions and environment for raising oysters.
- Conduct periodic examination to identify disease within the Flupsy and prevent infection.
- Operation and maintenance of all equipment.
- Picking oysters.
- May train other new staffs.
