Job Description:
As an Order Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
Work location: 2612 Drew Road, Mississauga, Ontario L4T 3M5.
Compensation:
-Full-time permanent position
-Paid vacation days
-WSIB insurance coverage
-Wage $35.00/hr
Duties & Responsibilities
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to purchase materials necessary for manufacturing processes and operations.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-efficient purchases.
• Analyze risk factors and market trends to suggest improvements in the supply chain.
• Establish logistics of delivery schedules and monitor order progress to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
• Communicate with clients and suppliers in times of conflict to resolve any issues or delays.
• Work closely with our Production team to manage product quality, ensuring the specifications of potential materials meet the company’s operational requirements.
• Supervise and train new employees in the purchasing department following the company’s established policies, procedures and best practices.
• Consulting with suppliers, reviewing quotations, updating internal costing model, and preparing costing sheets and quotations for our Sales Team.
• Ensuring suppliers conform to applicable industry and government regulations for materials, packaging, and documentation.

Qualifications:
• Completion of College Diploma is required. Education in Business, logistic, or a related field is preferred.
• 7 months or more experience in material purchasing is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively cooperate with internal and external partners and varying levels of individuals.
• Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem-solving.
• Manage time efficiently while working on several different tasks at once.
