Order Picker Job

Nationwide Natural Foods is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join its warehouse operations team in Delta, BC. The Order Picker will be responsible for accurately picking, sorting, packing, and preparing wholesale food product orders for shipment and delivery to customers. The role also includes receiving products, organizing stock, maintaining inventory orderliness, and supporting the smooth day-to-day functioning of the warehouse in a cold/refrigerated environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer orders for wholesale food products based on order sheets, packing slips, invoices, or other picking instructions.
• Assemble, pack, box, and prepare orders for shipment or delivery in accordance with company procedures and product handling requirements.
• Unpack incoming products and count, weigh, sort, and verify items received against shipping or receiving documents.
• Place products in assigned storage locations and maintain stock in a clean, organized, and accessible manner within the warehouse.
• Replenish picking areas and stock locations to support efficient order preparation and warehouse flow.
• Check picked items for accuracy, quantity, labelling, and general condition before packing or dispatch.
• Apply price labels, stickers, or other product-identification markers where required, in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist in maintaining proper stock rotation and orderly arrangement of food products within the warehouse.
• Handle products carefully to maintain product quality and prevent damage during picking, packing, storage, and movement.
• Perform general warehouse housekeeping duties, including keeping work areas clean and organized, and sweeping and mopping as required.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet daily order preparation timelines and operational requirements.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper material handling practices at all times.
• Perform other related warehouse and order-fulfillment duties as required for daily operations.

Employment Requirements

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience in order picking, warehouse operations, stock handling, or a related environment is an asset.
• Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding duties and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
