Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a program that grants work authorization to international students in the U.S. to acquire practical training in their preferred field of study.
Types of OPT
Pre-completion OPT: For students who haven't yet completed their degree.
Post-completion OPT: Available after a student graduates.
STEM OPT Extension: Granted to students who pursue majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields.
