Operations Research Analyst Job

OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST sought by California State University, Fresno Foundation in Fresno, CA.

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing programmatic, marketing, and operational support within the University Business Center (UBC). UBC serves as the outreach arm for the Craig School of Business at the California State University, Fresno. Responsible for supporting UBC operations to enhance the integration within the UBC and its relationship with partners. Specific duties include: 1) Provide ongoing research to streamline the UBC Operations, specifically to Executive MBA (EMBA) programs and various other UBC programs such as Economic Development Training, Agricultural Lending Institute, Project Management, etc. 2) Collect and organize information from various sources such as computer databases, customer feedback, and official statistics of UBC programs in order to analyze and suggest improvements to existing systems and programs. 3) Use statistical analysis, forecasting, and other modeling techniques to analyze information, and develop practical solutions to improve UBC operations. 4) Provide support to current UBC grants, seek and secure new grants that are aligned to UBC goals and objectives. 5) Provide operational support for marketing and advertisement of all UBC programs, ensuring that the quality and representation are correctly aligned with the UBC, Craig School of Business and Fresno State's values, vision and direction. 6) Provide forecasting reports and propose processes to UBC director in regard to all UBC programs. 7) Provide on-demand reports for efficiency and success reports in regard to the operations of the UBC programs, events and room reservations. 8) Perform space allocation analysis and conduct research for on-campus and off-campus events. 9) Collect information on UBC facility usage and analyze patterns and identify the frequent users to optimize space utilization. 10) Assist UBC director in developing policies, procedures and processes to ensure productivity and efficiency of operations. 11) Provide forecasting for future operational planning and room usages based on available data. 12) Provide reports with proposals to improve department efficiency and optimization of costs involved in maintaining the UBC operations with data provided by the UBC Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, plus two (2) years of operations research analysis or related analysis experience in operations.

*Specific skills: Position also requires experience or knowledge in: 1) Using statistical analysis, forecasting, and other modeling techniques to analyze information and develop solutions to improve operations; 2) Planning, designing and conducting studies and analyses pertaining to operational efficiencies; 3) Researching, compiling and summarizing varied information, evaluating alternatives and reaching sound conclusions; 4) Preparing reports, correspondence, procedures, policies and other written materials; 5) Working collaboratively with other professionals; and 6) Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft

The salary for this position is $70,138 per year.
